Shopify Inventory Locations & Transfers
Within Shopify you can have inventory at multiple locations. For example, we may have some at our warehouse, and you may also have some in your local store, or at your corporate office. We ideally want to sync inventory just to our location so it matches in Shopify and Shiphero. If this isn't setup properly then Shiphero will override the inventory for SKUs that we do not have, with zero. Here's how to correct this:
1. Login to Shopify, go to Settings > Locations
2. Next, ensure that you have at least one location in there. At the very least it should be ShipLab and that would mean that ShipLab holds all your inventory. Ensure the following details are set for the ShipLab location, and use your customer service phone number for the phone number. After this is done click save, and then click "View Inventory"
3. That will bring you to a page that shows all SKUs which have been assigned to ShipLab's location. If these are all correct, then you're all set and good to go. Upon the next sync, Shiphero will sync over inventory to those SKUs at that location. However, if this is not correct then you will want to set the SKUs to correct location.
