Marking a SKU as Dropship

A dropship SKU is a sku that ShipLab does not have in inventory, but you utilize another vendor for (or maybe you fulfill it in-house). It's important that these SKUs are properly marked as dropship SKUs, otherwise it will hold an order up since we do not have inventory for those items. When an item is marked as a dropship SKU it will still come through on the order into Shiphero, but the system knows to only pass the items we have in inventory to the pick team, and ignore the dropship SKU. When the order ships the system will tell your marketplace (i.e. Shopify) that we shipped the non-drop ship items. As such, you may see "Partially Fulfilled" within Shopify and the items that aren't fulfilled are those dropship SKUs.

Here's how you mark a SKU as a dropship Sku within ShipHero:

1. You'll want to still add that product into Shopify or any other marketplace first (https://shiplab.helpscoutdocs.com/article/27-creating-new-products-or-duplicating-products)

2. Once that new product syncs to Shiphero then go to Inventory > Products and find the product.

3. On the product detail page click on the Pencil Icon, towards the top left under the "Details" box.

4. A modal will pop up, allowing you to edit product details. Scroll down until you see "Dropship Only", and then Check that Box as pictured below, then click "Update".
