Shopify Calculated Rates

Calculated rates are a great way to ensure that you are charging your customer as accurate shipping as possible. We have the ability to connect our FedEx account to your Shopify, which will enable a dynamic rate to be charged to the customer upon checkout. This is especially useful for international shipments as Shopify will send the order information to FedEx and FedEx will estimate the postage of the shipment and then charge the customer accordingly.

In order to enable calculated rates on your Shopify store you can upgrade your Shopify plan to one of the ones that mentions calculated rates as a feature. Or, if you call Shopify support and pay for your Shopify plan on an annual basis, then at that point you can ask them to enable Third Party Calculated Shipping Rates on your store.

Once you do that and they enable the rates then simply email support@shiplabsd.com and let us know and we can connect our account credentials in. We highly recommend adding a mark-up of at least 25% to the calculated rates to ensure there is some padding as the actual shipment charge could vary from the amount the customer pays.
