Providing Your Own Shipping Labels, BOLs, or Packing Slips
Please follow the steps below if you need to provide specific shipping labels, invoices, or BOLs for an order. Note: This should only be used for one off occasions as it requires additional work from our team and may be an added cost. Please contact support@shiplabsd.com if you have any questions about this. Thanks!
- Go to the order detail page for that order within ShipHero. This is the page that shows all the specific information for that order (i.e. line items, shipping methods, recipient, etc.)
- Scroll down to the attachments section and click "Upload Attachment" to attach all needed documents to the order. Make sure the file name does not contain any special characters (i.e. #, &, %, etc.) Note: The documents will not be used to validate order accuracy, it is your responsibility to ensure they are correct and match the order.
- Scroll down and add a warehouse note that says "Custom Packing Slip/BOL/Shipping Label Attached in ShipHero" This is extremely important as it will help alert the shipping team that there are documents to view.
- IF YOU'RE PROVIDING SHIPPING LABELS OR IT IS A FREIGHT SHIPMENT WITH A BOL PLEASE CONTINUE. If not, your process is complete:
Scroll down to the Shipment Info box on the right side, and confirm the Carrier is Genericlabel and the Shipping Method is Generic. If it is not, click the Pencil icon and change it to Generic for both options. By doing this you ensure a shipping label is not generated by ShipHero, but rather there is one to use on the order that you added in step 2.
- If your shipment is a freight shipment, please ensure the carrier books a pick up appointment here: https://calendly.com/shiplab/ltl-pickup?back=1&month=2023-05
