How to Connect TikTok Shop to Your Shopify Store

Connecting your TikTok Shop to your Shopify store allows you to seamlessly sync products, manage orders, and expand your brand's reach to TikTok's massive audience. This guide will walk you through the setup process and highlight key areas to ensure a smooth integration.
Step 1: Verify Eligibility
Before starting, ensure that you meet TikTok Shop's eligibility requirements:
- You have an active Shopify store.
- Your business complies with TikTok Shop policies.
- Your products align with TikTok’s allowed product categories.
Step 2: Install the TikTok Shop App in Shopify
- Log in to Shopify Admin.
- Navigate to Apps > Shopify App Store.
- Search for TikTok Shop and install the app.
- Open the app and click Connect TikTok Shop.
Step 3: Authorize the Connection
- Sign in to your TikTok Shop Seller Center.
- Grant necessary permissions for Shopify to access your TikTok Shop.
- Confirm the integration to sync Shopify with TikTok Shop.
Step 4: Sync Products and Map SKUs
Ensure SKUs Match
- Shopify product SKUs must exactly match the corresponding TikTok Shop SKUs.
- Any mismatch can lead to failed order syncs and inventory discrepancies.
- Update SKUs in TikTok Shop Seller Center if needed.
Sync Product Listings
- In the TikTok Shop App in Shopify, go to Product Sync.
- Select products to sync and map them correctly.
- Verify product details such as titles, descriptions, and images.
- Click Sync Now to push products to TikTok Shop.
Step 5: Configure Shipping Settings
Properly Map Shipping Methods
- Ensure that Shopify and TikTok Shop shipping settings match to avoid fulfillment issues.
- Go to TikTok Shop Seller Center > Settings > Shipping.
- Map Shopify shipping methods to the equivalent TikTok shipping options, also ensure these methods are mapped within ShipHero. You can find instructions for that here.
- Confirm the correct warehouse or fulfillment location.
- Set accurate processing and delivery times.
Step 6: Test the Connection
- Place a test order through TikTok Shop.
- Ensure that the order appears in your Shopify admin under Orders.
- Verify that shipping details are correctly transferred.
- Fulfill the order and track its status in both platforms.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Orders Not Syncing: Check SKU mismatches and ensure products are published.
- Shipping Errors: Confirm that mapped shipping settings match Shopify’s shipping rules.
- Inventory Discrepancies: Refresh the product sync and manually adjust stock levels.
- TikTok Shop Not Connecting: Reauthorize the connection in the TikTok Shop App in Shopify.
